Susan McDonnell

My name is Susan McDonnell and I’m a town and county councillor for Acre Rigg/Peterlee West. I’ve lived in the area for over fifty years.

I’ve been heavily involved in my local community for around twenty five years, ten of which, in either a town or county councillor capacity; and I do all that I can to help make Peterlee a better and safer place to live and work, for the benefit of all residents in the town.

I am a trustee and director for The North East Learning Trust and over the last 4 years, whilst a county councillor, I have been a board member of the East Durham Area Action Partnership.

I’ve held senior positions in both the public and private sector (from SME to PLC/Corporate) during my working life; much of which was specifically in the telecoms and broadband field, leading project teams and negotiating partnership working with government departments.
