Job Opportunity: Apprentice Neighbourhood Services Operative Location: Peterlee Town Council

Are you passionate about your local community and eager to start a rewarding career in horticulture? Peterlee Town Council is looking for an enthusiastic individual to join us as an Apprentice Neighbourhood Services Operative.

This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience while working towards a NVQ Level 2 in Horticulture through East Durham College. You’ll be supported every step of the way, combining your studies with practical work to develop valuable skills in maintaining and improving the outdoor spaces across Peterlee.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To undertake a wide range of ground and building maintenance tasks.
  • Supporting the team with maintaining sports pitches and play areas.
  • Learning and applying horticultural techniques under supervision.
  • Use and the basic maintenance of tools and machinery.
