Peterlee Town Council are getting set for this year’s World Clean Up Day 2023.
What is World Clean Up Day?
World Clean Up Day unites millions of volunteers, governments and organisations in 191 countries to tackle the global waste problem and build up the new and sustainable world. To find out more, visit www.worldcleanupday.org/
As part of this campaign in September, we will be holding a number of litter picking events in and around Peterlee, so watch this space and join our Peterlee Town Council and @Friends of Woodhouse Park social media pages to look out for upcoming dates to join us and help make a difference where you live.
The Town Council also work in partnership @The Skill Mill who are jointly working on the ‘Bring back the Denes’ project, which has made a huge difference to those areas in Peterlee. By cleaning up litter, trollies and other types of waste and waterways to prevent harming wildlife, and polluting our air and environment.
