Peterlee Town Council’s Neighbourhood Services is seeking to appoint a full time permanent Assistant Neighbourhood Services Operative who will have a frontline role within the department.
This post will require you to work outdoors, associated tasks within the cemetery and you will also need to have a positive approach to teamwork. Previous grounds maintenance experience and horticultural knowledge as well as working with mechanical gardening equipment would be advantageous but not essential as full training will be provided.
This post will suit flexible, highly motivated individuals who must be able to demonstrate good communication and interpersonal skills with a positive approach to team working and working co-operatively.
You should have knowledge of green spaces, highways and facility maintenance. Good customer service skills are essential with the ability to liaise confidently with members of the public, colleagues, elected members and external organisations.
